SCHOLA MBL water testing laboratory for micro-biological water quality analysis
WaterLab SCHOLA MBL is water testing kit specifically aimed at water assessment projects that focus on micro-biological water quality analysis. The kit is designed to provide an introduction into micro-biological water quality analysis. When testing the quality of drinking water the micro-biological tests are the main parameter essential for assessing the hygienic quality of a water supply and its suitability for drinking. There is a wide variety of micro-organisms living in water and the main concern is the presence of pathogens.
Following the simple step-by-step instructions provided, students will be able to examine the basic principles of micro-biological testing using the standard membrane filtration method approved by WHO for microbiological water assessment.
Equipment for microbiological tests supplied in our SCHOLA EXP portable laboratory comprises 12V Mini-Incubator with reusable Petri-dishes, reusable membrane filtration assembly with a hand vacuum pump, complete MBL accessory kit containing consumables for 200 tests, sampling bottles and beaker, hand lens, stopwatch, forceps, pipettes and other accessories needed for carrying out the tests.
With the addition of optional accessories like a portable 12V battery and a solar charger it is the perfect piece of equipment for expeditions lasting several days and training programmes in rural areas where electricity supply might be an issue.
